Choosing the right manhole cover
A few things to know before you order.
Solid or recessed: which should I choose?
A solid cover has a finished top and needs no paving infill. A recessed cover has a tray for your own paving material, helping it blend into the surrounding surface. Both come with a matching frame.
Which dimension should I measure?
Start with the clear access opening, then check the outer frame dimensions and installation depth. A product name may refer to its lid size or frame size; each product page lists the clear opening separately.
Can I install these in a driveway?
No. This range is offered for pedestrian areas only. Choose a suitably documented cover and installation for any location that carries vehicles.
Do the covers come with a frame?
Yes. Every product in this range includes its matching frame. The HIDE kits require separately supplied paving inlay; the solid fiberglass covers do not.
How much is delivery?
Planned Canadian delivery is C$25, free from C$150 after discounts. Online ordering remains unavailable while product prices and Canadian supply are verified.
Are recessed covers watertight?
The HIDE recessed covers are not watertight and must not be permanently submerged. Check the requirements of the access chamber and follow the installation instructions.

A good finish starts with a good fit.
Start with the clear opening
Measure the access opening beneath the lid. Compare that measurement with the clear opening listed on each product page, then check the outer frame dimensions and installation depth. The lid size is not the same as the opening size.
Choose the surface you want
Solid fiberglass covers have a finished top and need no paving infill. HIDE recessed stainless steel covers take your own separately supplied paving inlay. Check the tray depth and permitted inlay thickness before choosing a recessed kit.
Match the cover to the location
Our Canadian range is for pedestrian areas only. Do not install these covers in driveways, roads or parking areas. Your installer should confirm the support, finished level and complete assembly against the manufacturer instructions.
